Job summary

Dürr Aktiengesellschaft in Poznań, Poland seeks an experienced procurement professional to shape local and global purchasing strategy, drive savings programs, and implement AI initiatives in sourcing and supplier management.

You will select and qualify suppliers, conduct risk assessments, manage contracts, prepare RFQs, and lead supplier workshops to secure competitive terms and reliable supply.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or economics or equivalent with years of strategic purchasing experience.
• Negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Business fluent English.
• SAP MM experience.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop local and global procurement strategies and their implementation.
• Execute savings projects aligned with strategy.
• Implement AI solutions in purchasing.
• Qualify suppliers and conduct risk assessments.

• Monitor supplier performance on quality, timeliness, and capacity.

Your Tasks

• Participation in development of the local and global procurement strategy and its implementation.
• Implementation of the savings projects in line with the assumed strategy.
• Implementing AI programs and solutions in purchasing
• Selection and qualification of the suppliers and risk assessment
• Contract management.
• Preparing requests for quotes and negotiations.
• Regular assessment of suppliers with regard to quality, timeliness and production capacities.
• Conducting workshops with the suppliers.
• Maintaining and developing relations with the suppliers.
• Taking decisions concerning cost calculations.
• Participation in the process of approving the new suppliers.
• Conducting periodical follow-up meetings with the suppliers.
• Executing other orders of the superior, the character of which corresponds to the qualifications and skills, except for special situations.

Your Skills

• Completed studies ideally as an (economic) engineer or comparable training with several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in mechanical engineering
• Negotiating skills as well as moderation, presentation and communication skills
• Business fluent spoken and written English
• Knows best practice solutions at component and functional level (suppliers, competition)
• Experience and competence in the field of production (manufacturing processes) and strategic purchasing
• Knows the value creation strategy of the plant
• Knowledge in SAP (MM)
• Confident handling of MS Office packages
• Flexibility and willingness
