Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Procurement Lead to drive end-to-end sourcing for Valmet EMEA, manage supplier relationships, and implement cost-saving strategies across categories and geographies.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree, 3+ years in procurement, and strong negotiation skills. Proficiency in ERP (Infor LN) and MS Office is required; Polish and English fluency is essential. This on-site role in Poland emphasizes cross-functional collaboration within a global matrix.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or commercial field.
• 3 years of experience in a similar procurement role.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to make swift, fact-based decisions.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills in a global matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge of Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of ERP systems; Infor LN competence preferred.
• Fluent in Polish and English.
• Driving license, category B.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and execute procurement work for Valmet EMEA Supply Chain.
• Execute procurement assignments for named categories and suppliers.
• Follow up purchase orders for cost, quality, and delivery time.
• Manage price agreements and item maintenance in ERP and related systems.
• Plan and execute annual price negotiations with defined suppliers.
• Define supply strategies, priorities, schedules, and action plans with procurement team members.
• Define and ensure implementation of long-term cost savings.
• Develop the supplier base based on delivery, quality, lead-time, innovation, and cost requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships.
• Support sales and cost-estimation functions with cost data and sourcing activities.
• Ensure implementation of defined strategies with selected vendors.
• Monitor technological developments in the industry.
• Seek and evaluate new suppliers.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for compliance with Valmet policy.
• Drive Cost Competitive Country sourcing.
• Manage inventory levels and support healthy net working capital.
• Cooperate with global sourcing, sales, engineering, quality, logistics, and other functions.
