Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions in Europe seeks a Direct Procurement Category Manager (German Speaking) to lead end-to-end sourcing for Hardware (primarily), OEM Software and Services across Europe. The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management and commercial leadership in a global, matrixed environment.

You will partner with Product, Services and Commercial teams, negotiate complex contracts, manage supplier relationships, assess market trends, and drive savings while ensuring

Qualifications

• Procurement experience (3+ years) ideally across OEM, hardware, software, or services categories
• Strong commercial negotiator with experience managing complex supplier agreements
• Sound understanding of contract governance, risk, and compliance
• Ability to partner with and influence senior stakeholders
• Commercially astute with strong analytical and financial awareness
• Degree qualified (CIPS preferred) with ERP/procurement system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

Responsibilities

• Own and drive category strategies across Hardware (primarily), OEM Software, and Services
• Analyse market trends, cost drivers, and innovation opportunities to inform sourcing decisions
• Optimise and consolidate the supplier base where appropriate
• Lead negotiations for complex commercial agreements, securing best-in-class pricing and terms
• Partner with Legal to draft and manage supplier contracts
• Oversee contract lifecycle management and ensure compliance
• Act as the strategic procurement partner to Product, Services, and Commercial teams
• Align sourcing strategies with technology roadmaps and business objectives
• Support customer opportunities through commercial and supplier engagement
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships
• Lead performance reviews and resolve supplier-related issues, acting as an escalation point when necessary
• Drive value, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Identify and mitigate supply and market risks
• Manage category spend and deliver savings initiatives
• Ensure procurement activities meet policy and compliance standards
