Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Sourcing Manager in Łódź to lead end-to-end Source-to-Contract activities for indirect categories, including Professional Services, HR, Facilities, Sales, and Marketing. You will develop strategies aligned with Global Category Management and drive value through negotiations and supplier management.

As part of Global Procurement, you will partner with Finance, Legal, and Takeda Business Solutions, manage stakeholder relationships, and help standardize processes while exploring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience in procurement.
• Experience with indirect categories, especially Professional Services, HR, Facilities, Sales, or Marketing; life sciences is preferred.
• Proven track record leading sourcing initiatives, negotiations, contracting, and supplier management.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing, governance, supplier evaluation, risk management, and compliance.
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation strategies using should-cost models and benchmarks.
• Experience with managing senior, cross-functional stakeholders in global/matrix/shared-services.
• Able to operate independently, influence decisions, and collaborate across functions.
• Strong communication, presentation, consulting, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with SAP Ariba or equivalent eSourcing tools; Wave pipeline management preferred.
• Advanced MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience using generative or agentic AI to improve procurement processes.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories.
• Lead sourcing initiatives from demand intake through RFx to contract finalization.
• Identify value levers including cost optimization, demand management, and ESG.
• Coordinate with Central Finance on RFx execution and service delivery.
• Maintain the project pipeline in Wave and drive improvements.
• Interface with Marketing, Sales, HR, Facilities and other stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations and finalization within defined thresholds.
• Support supplier selection, performance governance, and risk escalation.
• Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to improve sourcing.
• Ensure handover of inputs and contracts to Operational Procurement.
