Job summary

OPmobility, a global leader in sustainable mobility, is seeking a Strategic Commodity Buyer in Kraków to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and secure favorable commercial agreements. You will build a high-performing supplier network for automotive and heavy-duty applications, drive cost-optimization initiatives, and support projects from development to serial production.

Fluent English, 5+ years in strategic purchasing, knowledge of battery components/BMS, and readiness

Qualifications

Master's degree required.
Minimum 5 years in strategic purchasing or commodity management.
Knowledge of battery components and/or BMS is a must.
Experience in automotive industry preferred.
Fluent English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, qualify, and audit new suppliers.
Develop and maintain a robust supplier panel for Automotive and Heavy-Duty applications.
Lead supplier selection and contract negotiations for OPmobility.
Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers and foster long-term engagement.
Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies aligned with objectives.
Monitor market trends and commodity risks to identify opportunities.
Drive cost reduction initiatives and secure productivity improvements.
Support Project Buyers in escalation and supplier crises.
Ensure supplier performance across the project lifecycle.
