Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Global Category Leader in Kraków to partner with the Global Category Manager and drive end-to-end sourcing strategies across functions. You will work closely with cross functional teams to run RFQ, supplier selection, and negotiations to achieve target performance.

You will lead supplier negotiations, optimize terms, and manage risks while building strong relationships with CORE and CASL suppliers to ensure continuity, quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of category management experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment or minimum 10 years of sourcing experience.
• Expert sourcing, contracting and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Used to working in a matrixed organization with direct and dotted line reporting structures above and below.

Responsibilities

• Support senior global category manager in development and execution of category strategies.
• Lead execution of short to long term category strategies to successfully deliver on set goals and objectives.
• Conduct commercial and contractual negotiations with CORE/CASL suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure continuity of supply, quality and compliance from suppliers.
• Maximize commercial and contractual terms & conditions, mitigate supply and other supplier risks.
