Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Commodity Buyer to secure competitive pricing and uninterrupted material supply for a global mobility leader.

You will perform market analyses, manage supplier performance, and lead strategic sourcing and negotiations across automotive components in an international, innovation-driven environment.

The role requires a Master’s or Engineering degree, 3–5 years in purchasing, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Engineering degree.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in automotive.
• Strong purchasing expertise with strategic mindset.
• Knowledge of commodity strategy and market trends.
• Experience in negotiations and supplier management.
• Travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Market analysis (benchmark, professional fairs, market trends, innovation).
• Follow and report the supplier’s performance.
• Lead the supplier’s sourcing process in respect of the procedures.
• Take part or lead internal working groups for cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure competitive pricing and uninterrupted material supply.
• Manage and evaluate the supplier base, making decisions on supplier selection.
• Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities (e.g. process or material improvements).
• Lead price, contract, and technical negotiations with suppliers.
• Manage the suppliers’ relationships according to OPmobility purchasing policy.
• Monitor supplier performance and risks (financial, operational) and take preventive action.
