Job summary

BlackLine seeks a Staff Software Engineer to help build the next generation of BlackLine's data platform and connectors to ERP, bank, payments, tax, and subledger systems. You will design and implement scalable backend services and lead a team.

As a hands-on engineer and technical lead, you will mentor others, influence architecture, promote a quality-first culture, and drive changes end-to-end across data transfer pipelines and integrations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience building web-scale, highly available multi-tenant SaaS backends.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in requirements, design, development, testing and delivery of scalable backend services.
• Lead design and architecture discussions for distributed systems and event-driven patterns.
• Mentor engineers and conduct peer code reviews to improve quality and velocity.
• Collaborate with product management and other teams to translate needs into technical requirements.
