Job summary

Facility Grid is seeking a senior engineer to lead the design and implementation of an agentic product suite and the AI platform beneath it. You will define how agents are built, evaluated, and shipped, while modernizing a legacy PHP/Angular stack.

This hands-on staff role offers autonomy to set work processes, write code daily, and guide a small, growing team on cutting-edge AI-driven commissioning software for large buildings.

Qualifications

• Ownership of problems end to end and production-ready delivery.
• Curiosity about code and understanding the whole system.
• Forward-looking engineering with an agent-first approach.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the agentic product suite from prototype to production.
• Build the AI platform it runs on: evaluation, guardrails, context management, and agent harnesses.
• Set the standards for how AI features are designed, tested, and rolled out.
• Modernize the legacy application layer.
• Evaluate new models and tooling as they ship and adopt what is better.
