Job summary

Catena Clearing is seeking an experienced infrastructure leader to own and advance our cloud platform powering real-time telematics data. You will guide the technical vision for high-throughput systems, build scalable ingestion pipelines, and shape integration frameworks across ELD and telemetry integrations.

You will drive IaC and cloud operations (AWS), champion observability, reliability, and incident management, and mentor engineers across the platform organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software/platform/infrastructure engineering experience.
• 2+ years operating in a Staff-level or principal technical leadership capacity.
• Distributed high-throughput, low-latency systems experience.
• Proficient in Python and building robust API gateways.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term architecture and roadmaps for Catena's high-throughput infrastructure.
• Design and scale distributed event systems for millions of telemetry pings.
• Create standardized abstractions, API gateways, and microservice patterns.
• Own cloud footprint (AWS), IaC (AWS CDK), and container orchestration.
• Drive telemetry, observability, and incident management with SLIs/SLOs.
• Mentor senior engineers and set production standards across the platform.
