Job summary

n8n is seeking a Staff Architect to shape and evolve the core platform architecture across execution, infrastructure, data, and frontend domains. You will influence two Core Platform teams and align product engineers with durable, scalable solutions for cloud and self-hosted deployments.

The role emphasizes architectural leverage, modular migrations, and strong technical judgment in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Staff-level architectural ownership across multiple systems or teams
• Strong systems thinking and ability to reason about invariants and trade-offs
• Experience with modularization, migrations and refactoring of platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture across Core Platform teams, ensuring coherent evolution of execution, infrastructure, data and frontend platform
• Design adaptable backend foundations to support multiple workloads and deployment models
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and RFCs, driving durable platform solutions
