Job summary

Wrike is seeking a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer for the Backend Reliability (BRE) team. You will architect reliability solutions, improve uptime, and guide how Wrike scales, performs, and recovers from failures across production systems.

You will design critical components, troubleshoot complex issues, and build reusable tools. Collaboration with international teams and advanced engineering practices are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building scalable backend services in Java/JVM.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, high availability, CAP theorem, fault tolerance.
• Deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and Redis or similar storages.
• Hands-on with containerization and cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ or Kafka).
• Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking and English communication.

• Design, build, and maintain reliable backend components and services.
