Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an Internal Auditor to support risk-based engagements across operational, financial and compliance areas. Reporting to the Internal Audit Sr Manager, you will assess controls and processes and partner with cross-functional teams.

This is a remote role with occasional international travel (~15%). The position offers exposure to AI-driven audit techniques and a dynamic, global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of internal audit experience; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• CIA, CPA, CMA or CISA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing standards.
• Hands-on experience with AI and data analytics in audit or a clear interest to develop in this area.

Responsibilities

• Execute internal audit engagements across operational, financial and strategic areas.
• Participate in External Audit Direct Assist work including testing and inventory counts.
• Travel about 15% to production and distribution sites as needed.
• Apply risk assessment, accounting, finance, IT and operations knowledge to identify control gaps and process improvements.
• Analyze data using AI and analytics to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies; provide insights.
• Produce high-quality audit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor action plans to ensure timely resolution and follow-up.

As an Internal Auditor at SBD, you will support with the execution of risk-based audit engagements across operational, financial, and compliance areas. Reporting to the Internal Audit Sr Manager, you will evaluate internal controls, risks and processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams as a trusted business partner who drives real improvement. Duties & Responsibilities

• Execute internal audit engagements, across a diverse range of operational, financial and strategic areas, including planning, scoping, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
• Participate in External Audit Direct Assist work including testing and inventory counts.
• Travel (15%) to production and distribution sites as needed based on engagement requirements.
• Apply knowledge of risk assessment, accounting, finance, IT, and operations to identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities.
• Analyze and interpret data using AI and analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, enhancing audit activities and providing deeper insights.
• Produce high-quality audit reports and present results and recommendations to senior management, clearly articulating findings, root causes, risks, and practical recommendations.
• Monitor the implementation of action plans and provide guidance to ensure timely and effective resolution.
• Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Education & Experience

Education: A university degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in internal audit, or risk advisory services; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Certifications

• CIA, CPA, CMA or CISA preferred.

Technical Knowledge

Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing standards.

Hands-on experience with AI and data analytics in audit, or a clear interest in developing expertise in this area.

Competencies

Salary Range: zł112 500,00 - zł168 500,00 This is the lowest to highest salary range we would pay at the time of this posting.
