Job summary

Addepar, a global data and AI platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Warsaw to build and maintain systems that authenticate users and enable self-service configuration. You will work on the identity platform across login, MFA, and admin tools used by client teams and end-clients.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, statistics, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and ability to write high-quality, maintainable code.
• Proficiency in building web UX using TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Svelte, Ember).
• Deep understanding of identity, secure session management, and modern auth protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs, SAML).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Warsaw, Poland) with expertise in Java and frontend technologies to join our Identity and Authentication team. In this full-stack role, you will build and maintain the systems and interfaces that authenticate users and enable self-service product configuration.

You will leverage Addepar’s enterprise identity platform to create responsive, frictionless user journeys. These range from the “front door” of our products (such as login and MFA) to the administrative tools our customers use to configure experiences for their internal teams and end-clients.

Collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering partners, you will ensure our identity and authentication capabilities meet our clients' complex regional, compliance, and privacy needs. Ultimately, you will build the next generation of features that prepare Addepar for the demands of modern, AI-driven users.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Warsaw. The current range for this role is 310,000 - 372,000 złoty (base salary) .

What You’ll Do

• Author, in Java APIs and web UIs, user and customer configuration tools which expose the capabilities of Addepar’s identity platform.
• Migrate Addepar’s authentication experiences to new platforms which support global availability, a smoother user experience, and experience customization.
• Bridge architectural, strategic identity investments with product-driven improvements to user experience.
• Provide expertise on authentication basics such as OAuth 2.0, Open ID Connect (OIDC, and SAML during the product design process.

Who You Are

• Extensive professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong proficiency in Java, and/or a similar object oriented language with demonstrated ability to write high-quality, maintainable code
• Proficiency in building user experience on the web using TypeScript, PostCSS, Svelte, Ember, React, or equivalent experience
• Deep understanding of identity fundamentals, secure session management, and modern authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs, SAML)
• Experience with SQL and database systems (both relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems like DynamoDB)
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to explore complex problem spaces objectively from multiple perspectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across engineering and non-engineering teams
• Self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift
