Job summary

Addepto is seeking a Data Engineer (Spark) in Gdańsk to join a team delivering data platforms across industries. You will build scalable pipelines for streaming and batch workloads, leveraging Spark, Cloudera, Airflow, Iceberg, Python, and AWS.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and strong cloud experience. The team organizes work with in-house projects and client engagements, offering flexible setups and opportunities to influence tool choices and architectures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience with Big Data systems, data governance and data management.
• Strong programming skills in Python (or Java/Scala) with OOP design.
• Hands-on with Spark, Cloudera, Kafka, Airflow, NiFi, Docker, Iceberg and AWS.
• Excellent understanding of dimensional data and data modeling techniques.
• Experience deploying solutions in cloud environments.
• Consulting experience with strong client communication and management.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Fluent English (C1 level).
• Bachelor’s degree in technical or mathematical studies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high-performance data processing platform for automotive data.
• Design and implement data pipelines for streaming and batch processing.
• Optimize data workflows using Spark, Cloudera, and Airflow.
• Work with data lake tech (Iceberg) and cloud services (AWS).
• Write and maintain high-quality Python (or Java/Scala) code for data processing.
