Watlow in Poland is seeking a Sourcing Manager - NPI & NPD to lead project sourcing for new product introductions across Europe. Based in Lędziny, this on-site role requires coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure early involvement and successful transitions to serial production.

The role blends strategic supplier selection with hands-on execution across RFQs, cost analysis, supplier development and regional travel, with a 4‑day office, 1‑day home office

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement or supply chain experience.
• Strong RFQ, cost analysis, negotiation and supplier selection skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
• Fluent English and Polish language abilities.
• Willingness to travel regionally and globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for NPI/NPD projects from prototyping to serial production.
• Partner with Engineering, Product Development, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Identify and develop suppliers for new products and localization projects.
• Lead RFQs, negotiations and supplier selection with BOM and NRE costs.

Sourcing Manager - NPI & NPD

Location: Lędziny, Poland

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Working model: 4 days in the office, 1 day of home office per week

About the role

The Sourcing Manager - NPI & NPD will lead project sourcing for new product introduction, new product development, product redesigns and localization activities across Europe. The role will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and global sourcing teams to ensure sourcing is engaged early, suppliers are selected and developed effectively, commercial targets are achieved, and projects transition successfully from development into serial production. Based in Poland, the role will have a strong connection to the Ledziny operation while supporting regional project requirements. The primary accountability is project sourcing and execution - not ongoing global commodity ownership. The role is expected to combine strategic supplier selection and commercial leadership with hands-on execution during critical project phases.

What You'll Do

• Lead sourcing activities for NPI/NPD projects, from early concept and supplier engagement through prototyping, qualification, industrialization and transition to serial production.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Product Development, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain to influence sourcing decisions, technology choices and project timing.
• Identify, assess and develop suppliers with the right technical capability, quality, cost position and strategic fit for new products and localization projects.
• Lead RFQs, commercial negotiations and supplier selection, owning key project sourcing deliverables such as BOM cost, tooling/NRE costs and sourcing milestones.
• Drive material availability for prototype and pre-production builds, resolving supply constraints and expediting as needed.
• Manage supplier performance and the transition from development into serial production, ensuring a smooth, well-prepared launch.
• Build strong supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement, innovation and cost-reduction opportunities.

What You'll need to succeed?

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement or supply chain experience, ideally with exposure to project sourcing, NPI or NPD.
• Strong commercial capability across RFQs, cost analysis, negotiations, supplier selection and contracting.
• Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
• Fluent English and Polish Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related degree preferred.
• Ability to travel regionally and globally as project and supplier needs require.
