Job summary

Thinkproject is seeking a Solution Specialist to support clients in their digitalization journey for construction projects. You will configure applications, implement tailored technical solutions, and ensure high-quality results through testing and collaboration with development teams.

Key duties include documenting procedures, providing technical guidance to consulting teams, and maintaining detailed technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Fluent German and English language skills are mandatory.
• Prerequisite: databases SQL Server, Oracle.
• PowerShell scripting required.
• Microsoft technologies Windows Server, IIS, COM+ etc.
• XML familiarity is beneficial.
• Aptitude to understand and configure software solutions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to document procedures clearly.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in solution implementation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with construction industry processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure the application (data model, modules, settings) and manage installation to fit customer requirements.
• Implement tailored technical solutions per customer needs and specs.
• Test customized solutions and document testing procedures for QA.
• Track issues, document them, work with dev teams for quick fixes.
• Assist in solution design with the Responsible Consultant.
• Modify and extend solutions, address issues during the project.
• Serve as technical advisor for Consulting teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Handle complex support requests with cross-team collaboration.
• Collaborate across pre-sales, Technical Consultants, and product teams.

What your day will look like

The Solution Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and project success by supporting clients in their digitalization journey for construction projects. They contribute to the development and implementation of technical solutions that meet customer requirements and drive efficiency and productivity.

Main Responsibilities

• Application configuration and installation: Configure the application (data model, modules, settings, etc.) and manage the installation process to ensure it aligns with customer requirements.


• Implementation of technical solutions: Implement tailored technical solutions according to customer needs and specifications.


• Testing and quality assurance: Test the customized solutions from a user’s perspective and document the testing procedures to ensure thorough quality assurance.


• Issue tracking and solution improvement: Track, document, and manage customer issues, work with development teams to find quick solutions, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the solution’s quality.


• Support in solution design: Collaborate with the responsible Consultant to help design customized technical solutions that meet specific customer requirements.


• Solution modification and troubleshooting: Collaborate with the responsible Consultant to make necessary changes and extensions to the implemented solutions, addressing any issues that arise during the project.


• Technical advisor for consulting teams: Act as a key technical resource for the Consulting teams, providing valuable insights and expertise to support their work.


• Technical documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation that supports the project and ensures a clear record of processes and decisions.


• Complex support resolution: Handle and resolve complex support requests in collaboration with the support teams, ensuring timely and effective solutions.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the organization, including (pre)sales, Technical Consultants, and product teams, to provide technical expertise and ensure seamless project delivery
