Job summary

FIS in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Open Payment Framework Tools team. You’ll build and maintain features of the OPF Visual Toolkit to help clients implement payment solutions faster and more efficiently.

You’ll analyze requirements, design new features, and tackle technical challenges while ensuring timely delivery. A strong Java background, Eclipse IDE, XML processing and good English communication are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• At least five years as a Java developer with Java SE 17.
• Experience with Eclipse IDE, XML processing, and JUnit.

Job description

As a Senior Software Engineer at FIS, you’ll join a team of experienced professionals developing the Open Payment Framework Tools. Your main focus will be building and maintaining features of the OPF Visual Toolkit which enables clients to build payment solutions more efficiently, significantly reducing their implementation time and accelerating FIS’s delivery of tailored solutions. You’ll also help analyze and design new features, proactively solve technical challenges and ensure timely project execution. Motivation, experience and a desire to keep learning are key factors to success.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training or work experience, Five years of experience as Java developer with proven knowledge of the Java SE 17 platform and design patterns, Proven experience with Eclipse IDE, XML processing and JUnit, Experience with Eclipse RCP or willingness to learn is a plus, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, BitBucket, GIT and Maven knowledge will be a plus, Other Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical audience, Good attention to detail, self-disciplined and motivated, Ability to prioritize and self-manage time and tasks, Very good English, Experience with the development of financial software applications is a plus.

The pay range for this full-time position is 166,600.00 - 234,000.00 PLN Annual and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
