Job summary

PepsiCo Kraków is seeking a hands-on SW Engineer Assoc Manager to lead design, architecture, and delivery of next-generation warehouse supply chain platforms. You will architect scalable backend systems and drive real-time processing using modern streaming platforms like Kafka.

You will mentor engineers, define API patterns, and collaborate with Product and Operations to translate requirements into robust cloud-native solutions with CI/CD and platform engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend focus.
• 5+ years designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven experience as a technical lead, principal engineer, or engineering manager.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Strong experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with streaming technologies (Kafka) and real-time data platforms.
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Experience with database design (SQL/NoSQL) and large-scale data processing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

You will play a critical role in shaping event-driven, cloud-native platforms, enabling end-to-end visibility across inventory, fulfillment, and logistics. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can architect systems, write production-grade code, mentor engineers, and influence enterprise-wide technology decisions.
