Job summary

PepsiCo Poland is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our Supply Chain technology team. You will design and develop robust, high-performance backend systems that support warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment.

You will work on cloud-native, distributed systems, microservices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that drive supply chain excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience building scalable distributed backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and/or Python.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of high-throughput, real-time systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and microservices supporting warehouse and supply chain operations.
• Develop event-driven architectures for real-time processing of warehouse events (inventory updates, shipment status, etc.).
• Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate backend services with React.js-based applications.
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) to deploy, monitor, and scale applications.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability for high-throughput distributed systems.
• Apply software design principles and design patterns to create maintainable and extensible solutions.
• Optimize database performance and manage data models for large-scale operational systems.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing strategies.
• Partner with global teams to align on architecture, design, and delivery timelines
