Job summary

Box Poland is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain features for the internal Feature Flagging Platform. You will collaborate across teams to standardize flagging mechanisms and ensure reliability, scalability, and observability.

The role requires a 3+ year track record in software development, strong Linux and Kubernetes skills, and fluency in English. Office-based collaboration is expected at least 3 days per week in Warsaw.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on with Linux, ServiceMesh, Observability tooling, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub Enterprise, and GIT.
• Strong English proficiency for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features for Box's internal Feature Flagging Platform.
• Collaborate with architects, staff engineers and teams to adopt feature flagging across products.
• Engage in team meetings, roadmap building, and technical vision sharing.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to issues as needed.
• Represent Box Poland internally and externally.

Box's Feature Flagging Platform is a critical piece of internal infrastructure that enables engineering teams across the company to safely ship features, run experiments, and manage rollouts at scale. As a Software Engineer III on this platform, you will be at the heart of how Box engineers build and release software - ensuring the platform is reliable, scalable, and observable.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain features for Box's internal Feature Flagging Platform, ensuring reliability and scalability
• Work closely with architects, staff engineers and across teams to introduce and adopt feature flagging mechanism across various products
• Actively engage in team meetings, building roadmaps, carving technical vision and spreading knowledge across engineering departament
• Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture
• Represent Box Poland internally and externally
• Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Hands-on experience with Linux, ServiceMesh, Observability tooling, and Kubernetes
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub Enterprise, and GIT
• Strong English proficiency - written and verbal communication skills required for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred skills:

• Experience with Python
• Strong algorithmic and coding fundamentals

Percentage of Time Spent:

• 60% coding, fine tuning, infrastructure setup
• 10% documentation
• 10% bug fixes
• 10% on-call support
