Job summary

Box Poland is hiring a Software Engineer to join AI Dev Tools, a Scrum team that empowers engineers with modern tooling to build, test, and deliver features quickly and securely. You will collaborate with SREs, own end-to-end development, and help shape the developer experience within Box.

You will contribute to architecture and Box culture while representing Box Poland internally and externally, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience in related fields.
• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Familiarity with Linux fundamentals.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Go or JavaScript).
• Proficient in English.
• Solid coding skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to build AI tools that boost productivity and shape developer experience as part of a Scrum team.
• Build and own end-to-end software from design to testing, maintenance and support.
• Participate in team meetings to build roadmaps and share technical vision across teams.
• Contribute to Box culture and initiatives.
• Represent Box Poland internally and externally.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents.

AI Dev Tools is a Scrum team within the Dev Tools and Experience organization that empowers our engineers with modern tooling to build, test, and deliver features in a fast, secure and compliant way. We are looking for a Software Engineer to help design, optimize, and maintain our platforms and infrastructure, as well as actively develop new tools that boost developer productivity across the company.

What you'll do:

• Work side by side with other Software Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers, developing cutting-edge AI tools to increase productivity and shape the future of developer experience at Box as a member of a Scrum team
• Build and own software end to end, from design, through development and testing, to maintenance and support
• Actively engage in team meetings, building roadmaps, carving technical vision and spreading knowledge across engineering departament
• Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture
• Represent Box Poland internally and externally
• Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience in related fields
• 1+ years of professional software development experience
• Familiarity with Linux fundamentals
• Proficient in at least one programming language (preferred Python, Go or JavaScript)
• Proficient in English
• Solid coding skills

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Familiarity with shell scripting and system administration
• Hands-on experience with Containers/Docker
• Networking basics

Percentage of Time Spent:

• 60% coding, designing
• 10% documentation
• 20% meetings
• 10% on-call support

Methodology:
