Job summary

Box, a leading AI-powered content platform, is expanding its Warsaw-based backend team. The role focuses on building a platform that runs daily evaluations to assess the quality of the agentic platform, primarily using Java, Python, PostgreSQL and GCP.

You will join a hybrid team in Warsaw, collaborating across backend engineering, infrastructure and developer tooling, while contributing to reliable, scalable systems and strong developer experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong coding skills in Java or Python.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS.
• Experience with distributed systems, observability and production support.
• Proven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.

We are a backend-focused, hybrid team based primarily in Warsaw. We build and maintain internal platform that support the development and evaluation of AI-powered products. The team works across backend engineering, infrastructure, and developer tooling, with a strong focus on reliability and developer experience.You’ll help the team build the platform that runs critical daily evaluations to assess the quality of our agentic platform. You’ll primarily work with Java, Python, PostgreSQL and GCP.

What you'll do:

• Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help resolve issues if they arise.

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong coding skills with demonstrated proficiency in one ot the following programming languages such as Java, Python or similar.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with distributed systems, observability and production support.
• Proven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.
• Passionate about new technologies with the capability to implement them in existing products.
• A team player who is eager to help the team trive.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI Agents evaluation and orchestration tooling.
• Experience maintaining Jenkins Pipeline, Github Actions or similar CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Vertex AI/Google Agent Platform.
• Experience developing software and tools for other developers.
• Experience in frontend development (React/Node/TypeScript).
