Adtran is looking for an outstanding Software Engineer to work on its Ensemble Network Controller Web UI. This is a set of applications used by network operators to manage their networks built upon Optical Transport, Packet Edge, Fiber Monitoring and Timing and Synchronization devices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and continually improving our product using new technologies and best agile practices, and will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers.

The Software Engineer will be a member of a full-stack team responsible for designing, analyzing requirements, developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software solutions for Adtran products including but not limited to the following: application development, system software architecture, software test development and customer assistance. Requires ability to perform engineering tasks for a major project or for projects of moderate complexity with limited direction.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop front end applications of the Ensemble Network Controller product.
2. Deliver enhancements to existing software.
3. Contribute to feasibility studies of needed software development.
4. Document the design including features definition and architecture.
5. Participate in design reviews and code reviews.
6. Develop unit and component level testing of implemented software modules and enhancements.
7. Fix software bugs found during all testing phases.
8. Work with the team to deploy and test incremental software releases.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required.
• At least 4 years of active experience as Front End or Full-stack developer.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with developing React-based applications.
• Experience with React test frameworks (JEST or similar).
• Excellent teamwork abilities.
• At least B1 English proficiency level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with developing and deploying large-scale interactive React-based applications.
• Experience with development based on GUI designs (e.g., Figma, Storybook).
• Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Protractor, Cypress, Jasmine, Selenium.
• Ability to develop CI/CD flows for the product.
