Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance backend systems. You will mentor developers, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate across distributed teams using Agile practices.

Expect hands-on work with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Maven, and SQL, plus DevOps with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to automate deployments and ensure robust operations. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science (Bachelor's or Master's) or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Maven, and SQL.
• Experience with unit testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud-native development and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm).
• Fluent English (B2/C1) and good communication in an enterprise setting.
