Software Engineer Global IT Finance Delivery Region 2

Responsibilities

• Support IT‑enabled operational business processes in Accounting & Finance, with primary responsibility for Region2 and active involvement in global, enterprise‑wide implementations across John Deere.
• Develop, code, configure, and test solutions and enhancements in SAP-based Finance applications to deliver end‑to‑end functionality.
• Evaluate, design, and implement SAP application enhancements to improve cost, quality, and performance of Finance software applications.
• Work using agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and collaborate closely within the Scrum team—including Developers, Delivery Lead, Scrum Master and Product Owner to define new development and enhancement requirements in Finance.
• Create professional documentation in English.

Requirements

• Hands‑on programming skills—preferably SAP ABAP; exposure to SAP Fiori (or similar) is a plus.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Central Finance (CFIN) environments is beneficial.
• Proven experience delivering technical changes end‑to‑end (develop/coding, configuration, and testing).
• Basic knowledge of SAP‑based Accounting & Finance processes and related John Deere finance processes.
• Basic knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules is desirable.
• Basic knowledge and initial experience with agile ways of working (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Good knowledge of creating technical specifications.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Completed degree from a University or a comparable qualification, combined with 2–3 years of professional experience.
