Software Development Lead – Commerce DevOps Hub

Located in Kraków, the new Commerce DevOps Hub is part of the Global Digital & Technology Function. As Software Development Lead you will lead a team of highly skilled software developers within the Order Tribe, collaborating closely with Product Owner(s), Product Architect(s), and other DevOps teams to deliver scalable, high‑performance, secure IT solutions aligned with the company’s business and technology strategy.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Development

• Lead the development team, provide technical guidance, mentoring, and ensure best practices are followed.
• Architect, design, and develop high-performance, modular, and scalable applications using ASP.NET 8 within the .NET 8 framework.
• Ensure API‑first development principles are followed while designing web applications and services.
• Develop and maintain background jobs using Hangfire.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using ASP.NET Core Identity and OpenIddict .NET 8.
• Develop real‑time communication features using SignalR in ASP.NET 8.

Database & ORM Modeling

• Design and manage SQL Server databases ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Develop ORM models using Entity Framework Core 8 for efficient data handling.
• Optimize database queries and fine‑tune performance for large‑scale applications.

Cloud & Azure Services

• Design and implement cloud‑native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
• Utilize Azure App Service, Storage Account, Azure SQL Server, Azure Application Gateway, Azure CDN, Event Grid, Azure Service Bus Queue, Redis Cache, and Azure Search Service.
• Monitor and optimize application performance using Azure Application Insights.
• Develop and integrate workflows using Azure Logic Apps.

UI Development & Frontend Technologies

• Develop and maintain Single Page Applications (SPA) using Angular JS 1.4, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Utilize Angular 16+, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for SPA development with Progressive Web App (PWA) support.
• Ensure responsive, intuitive, and user‑friendly UI/UX designs.

Performance Engineering

• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization techniques.
• Conduct code profiling, memory management, and fine‑tune applications to enhance performance.

DevOps & Tools Management

• Work with Azure DevOps tools including repositories, pipelines, and artifact management.
• Utilize static code analysis tools like SonarQube to ensure code quality and security.
• Collaborate with integration middleware tools such as APIC and Dell Boomi.

Best Practices & Compliance

• Enforce coding standards, architectural principles, and development methodologies.
• Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with industry standards.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development with expertise in backend, cloud, and frontend technologies.
• 2+ years in team lead capacity with proven leadership, mentoring, and decision‑making skills.
• 5+ years of experience and proficiency in ASP.NET 8, C#, .NET 8, authentication, background job processing (Hangfire), and database management (SQL Server, Entity Framework Core 8).
• 3+ years in Microsoft Azure, working with PaaS services, caching (Redis), messaging (Service Bus Queue), and monitoring (Application Insights). Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and static code analysis (SonarQube).
• 2+ years in frontend development: SPA development using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, with a focus on responsive UI/UX and PWA support.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, secure coding standards, code reviews, and system integrations.
• Proactive mindset with experience in technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and improving team efficiency.
