Our Customer is one of the world's largest investment management companies. Based in Southern California, our client manages close to $2 trillion in assets and is looking for a new partner to participate in a full scale upgrade of their technology. We are looking for talented and ambitious people to work on the engagement in the client's offices near Los Angeles, California. The project is Model Servicing/Content Automation, to automate the model portfolio content and data displays on our client's website, that are being done manually through Adobe Authoring.

Responsibilities

• As a Software Development Engineer, you will architect and implement distributed systems in partnership with other teams to make Capital Group's investment process measurably more efficient and effective. You will design and own major services, drive adoption of best-in‑class technologies, and launch critical features to impact over $3 trillion in assets under management. You will build front‑end user‑facing applications and APIs that power them in the latest cloud technologies. You will act as a force multiplier, and you will effectively coach and lead other engineers.

Must have

• You have 3+ years of professional software development experience in at least one modern language such as Python, Java, TypeScript, or .NET, with strong object‑oriented and functional design skills and a solid understanding of common design patterns.
• You are considered a technical leader on your team and own the systems you design and build.
• You bring a high level of craftsmanship to your work, ensuring integrity in both form and function.
• You bring a cloud‑first approach to designing and implementing robust, distributed, and scalable services for data processing and user‑facing applications from ideation to production.
• Experience with low‑latency Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) designs.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS.
• Strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, DOM manipulation, and responsive design.
• Experience with at least one front‑end framework like VueJS, React, Angular.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to adjust communication approach and style to accommodate a variety of technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Track record of successfully delivering enterprise‑grade software into production.
• Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.

• Financial services industry experience is a plus.
