Job summary

IBM in Kraków is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop software in an Agile team, contributing across the full product lifecycle while ensuring quality and scalability.

You will review designs, write automated tests, and gain domain knowledge of data governance to collaborate effectively with a broad, multinational group.

Qualifications

• Final year student or B.Sc. graduate in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficient in JavaScript frontend with React stack (React, Redux, React hooks, lint, webpack) or Java backend (Springboot).
• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Linux operating system
• Working experience with Git version control
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good command of English

Your Role And Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing and developing software in an Agile team, reviewing designs and technical documentation, maintaining product quality incl. writing automated tests. You will need to gain the domain knowledge of data governance in order to effectively contribute to the product you will be co-developing in a broad multi-national team.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Final year student or B.Sc. university graduate of Computer Science or equivalent
• Knowledge and experience in JavaScript frontend programming using React technological stack [React, Redux, React hooks, lint, webpack] or Java backend programming (Springboot)
• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Linux operating system
• Working experience with using Git version control

• Good command of English

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Front-End Development Skills: Exposure to designing, developing, testing, and delivering front-end components of software applications using leading-edge and/or proven technologies.
• DevOps Engineering Knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps engineering practices and tools, contributing to the development of automated CI/CD pipelines.
• L3 Support Engineering: Exposure to L3 support engineering, debugging customer-reported problems, and designing, developing, and unit testing code fixes.
