Job summary

Paessler is seeking a passionate software engineer to join our long-term team and help advance PRTG, our network, cloud, and IoT monitoring solution used by 500,000+ users. You will work in an agile environment, focusing on enterprise requirements, planning, developing, and modernizing features with the team.

You will contribute ideas, participate in discussions with the product manager, and ensure architecture and code quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern programming practices.
• Knowledge or interest in AI/ML for development.
• Experience with databases and their integration into software.
• Strong problem-solving and technical knowledge.
• Willing to learn about messaging systems and its integration with PRTG.
• Willing to learn how Paessler's network monitoring works.
• Experience with software architectures, clean code, and design patterns.
• Familiar with Git and CI/CD using GitLab and Jira.
• Agile mindset.
• Fluent in English.

• You and a small, effective team will focus on the needs of our enterprise customers and work on continuous product improvements.
• You will plan, develop and modernize software features together with your team.
• You will contribute your own ideas and participate in discussions, planning and their implementation together with the product manager.
• As a team, you take responsibility for architecture and code quality.
• You support the team with knowledge transfer, code reviews and testing of new features.
• You assist our technical support in 3rd-level cases, analyze, isolate and resolve problems within complex environments.
• You and the team work together to ensure a high level of quality and stability of the system.

At Paessler, we build PRTG, a network, cloud, and IoT monitoring software trusted by more than 500,000 users worldwide. To continuously evolve and improve our product, we are looking for a passionate software engineer to join our team on a long-term basis. Why this position is important: Our software collects performance data from a wide range of technologies and protocols implemented in different programming languages. To ensure that we continue to provide high-quality solutions in the future, we rely on a dedicated team that works creatively and purposefully to collect performance data efficiently and reliably.

Please note that we can only consider applications from permanent residents of Poland. We offer full-time employment contracts only. B2B and freelancing arrangements are not available for this role.

YOUR TASKS

• You will work in an agile team within the product development for Paessler PRTG

YOUR PROFILE

• You have strong experience in modern programming practices
• You have knowledge of AI/ML technologies or strong interest to learn and apply them in development
• You have solid experience with databases and their integration into software, or you are very interested in learning about this and applying it in development.
• You have strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge and solid experience
• You are keen to learn more of a messaging system and its integration into PRTG
• You are willing to learn about how our network monitoring software works
• You are very familiar with the development of software architectures, the implementation of clean code principles and the application of design patterns
• You are familiar with Git and are interested in a modern CI/CD infrastructure with GitLab and Jira
• You have an agile mindset
• You are able to communicate in English fluently
