Job summary

Engenious is seeking an experienced IS Solution Architect to join a technically challenging environment combining legacy and modern technologies across front-end, back-end, cloud and DevOps.

You’ll design scalable, secure software solutions, work across VB.NET, .NET, jQuery and ReactJS, and translate business requirements into architecture. You’ll communicate architecture using C4 diagrams and promote clean code, automated testing and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect or similar role.
• Hands-on with VB.NET, C# and .NET Framework 4.8.
• Strong front-end development with jQuery, HTML and CSS.
• Knowledge of ReactJS; Angular is a plus.
• Experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL, AzureDB and messaging systems (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with clean code, modern software development practices and architecture diagrams (C4).
• Exposure to cloud, DevOps and observability tools (Terraform, ArgoCD, Rancher, Sentry, Datadog).

We’re looking for an experienced IS Solution Architect to join a technically challenging environment combining legacy and modern technologies across front-end, back-end, cloud and DevOps.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and architect scalable, secure and robust software solutions.
• Work across front-end and back-end technologies, including highly available messaging systems.
• Develop and maintain applications using jQuery and ReactJS on the front-end and .NET Framework 4.8 / .NET 10 on the back-end.
• Translate business requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions.
• Create and communicate architecture using C4 model diagrams.
• Promote clean code, code reviews, automated testing and modern software engineering practices.
• Work with AzureDB, MSSQL and PostgreSQL to build and optimise database solutions.
• Contribute to cloud, DevOps and observability initiatives across Azure and Google Cloud, using technologies such as Terraform, ArgoCD, Rancher, Sentry and Datadog.

What we’re looking for

Key requirements:

• Experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Visual Basic / VB.NET, C# and .NET Framework 4.8.
• Strong front-end development experience, particularly jQuery, HTML and CSS.
• Good knowledge of ReactJS; Angular is a plus.
• Experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL and AzureDB.
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong understanding of clean code and modern software development practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Rulestream or other configuration engines.
• Experience with .NET 10.
• Exposure to Azure / Google Cloud and modern DevOps tooling.
