Job summary

SOFTETA is seeking a seasoned SOC Architect to design and implement security operations for IT and OT environments in the energy sector. You will lead security monitoring strategy across enterprise, cloud, and industrial control systems and supervise tool evaluations, roadmaps, and reference architectures.

The role requires 7+ years in cybersecurity with a focus on SOC architecture and security engineering, plus strong communication to influence technical direction and Fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including SOC architecture and security engineering.
• Familiarity with industrial automation environments (PLC, SAS, OT General).
• Strong IT/OT cybersecurity concepts and IEC 62443 knowledge.
• Ability to translate business and operational requirements into scalable security architectures.
• Excellent communication with ability to influence technical direction.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Security Operations Center (SOC) architecture for IT and OT environments across energy generation, transmission, and distribution assets
• Develop and maintain security monitoring strategy, ensuring comprehensive visibility across enterprise, cloud, and industrial control systems
• Design and optimize security log management, telemetry collection, and data onboarding from enterprise and industrial environments
• Define SOC architecture roadmaps, technology standards, and reference architectures supporting digital transformation initiatives
• Lead security tool evaluations, proof‑of‑concepts, and vendor selection processes
• Develop architecture documentation, security standards, implementation guidelines, and executive‑level reporting
• Support cyber resilience initiatives by integrating incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including NIS2, IEC 62443

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including extensive experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) architecture and security engineering
• Familiarity with industrial automation environments (PLC, SAS, OT General)
• Strong understanding of IT and OT cybersecurity concepts
• Practical knowledge of IEC 62443
• Ability to translate business and operational requirements into scalable security architectures and technical solutions
• Familiarity with protocol analysis and system hardening
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across organizations
• Fluent English
