EC Markets is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to elevate our Snowflake-based Data Lakehouse and enable advanced analytics, regulatory reporting and decision support across the business. This on-site role in Warsaw requires owning end-to-end data pipelines, data models and semantic layers, and partnering with Trading, Finance and Compliance teams.

The ideal candidate combines 5–8 years in data engineering/analytics with deep Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI expertise, plus strong communication to

• Experience in financial services, trading or fintech environments.
• Proven DWH/Delta Lakehouse design and delivery using Snowflake.
• Expert SQL and data modelling (star/snowflake, dimensional modeling).
• At least 2 years writing dbt models in production.
• At least 3 years building production Power BI on enterprise warehouses with advanced DAX.
• Strong SQL on Snowflake and understanding of warehouse sizing and costs.
• Familiarity with orchestration and transformation frameworks.
• Hands-on data analysis, visualization and operational reporting experience.
• Excellent communication to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of a Snowflake-centric Data Lakehouse.
• Develop and support robust ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple systems and external APIs.
• Implement data models, schemas and transformation frameworks for analytics and regulatory use.
• Apply data versioning, orchestration and automation best practices.
• Ensure scalability, data lineage and governance across data lifecycle.
• Build and own semantic models on Snowflake with DirectQuery/Import and incremental refresh.
• Develop reports, dashboards and data extracts for Trading, Finance, Marketing, Compliance and Operations.
• Maintain data integrity, privacy and security in line with FCA and GDPR.
• Monitor and optimise query performance and storage efficiency.
• Collaborate with business units to capture data requirements and translate into technical solutions.
