Job summary

Scania Industrial Batteries in Gdańsk, Poland, seeks a Manufacturing Digital Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support digital manufacturing systems. You will translate production needs into robust software, focusing on traceability, data management, test applications, and production analytics.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience developing software in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong hands-on with C#/.NET and SQL Server.
• Experience integrating software with production equipment or automation systems.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, APIs, and industrial protocols.
• Experience with software testing, debugging, deployment, and version control.
• Background with MES or production data systems is a plus.
• English proficiency at professional level.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing apps and digital systems.
• Integrate new production and test stations via software interfaces and data acquisition.
• Collaborate with Process, Test, and Automation Engineering teams to translate requirements into software solutions.
• Develop applications using C#/.NET, SQL Server, and related tech to support manufacturing operations.
• Manage manufacturing data ensuring traceability, production records, and test-result tracking.
• Create reports, dashboards, and data visualization for performance and quality aims.
• Develop and maintain integrations between manufacturing systems and MES/ERP/test data systems.
• Ensure software quality through testing, debugging, documentation, version control, and deployment.
• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted tools to enhance manufacturing apps and ops.
• Drive continuous improvement by standardizing components, methods, and best practices.
