Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking staff to manage lounge seating, stock condiment and beverage areas, and keep storage areas organized. The role uses a POS system for sales, maintains records, and ensures cleanliness and safety across shifts.

Responsibilities include inventory checks, FIFO/FEFO adherence, temperature logging, and customer service. Training compliance is required within one month and annually thereafter.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with POS systems to record sales and payments.
• Ability to follow FIFO and FEFO inventory procedures.
• Comfort with completing HSQA logs and temperature checks.
• Willingness to complete required 24/7 training within one month of start date.

Responsibilities

• Organizes chairs within lounge and seating areas.
• Checks staff, cleans and refills condiment station and beverage/food storage areas.
• Maintains accurate records of discarded or diverted items and their storage.
• Keeps items stocked based on sales volume.
• Signs in/out on the WALTER clock for shifts.
• Interacts with customers, resolves complaints politely and promptly.
• Uses POS to record sales and transactions, including payments.
• Performs weekly expiration checks and FIFO/FEFO compliance.
• Completes fridge/freezer temperature checks and HSQA logs as directed.
• Directs co-workers to ensure service standards and inventory controls.
• Follows uniform, jewelry, health, safety and QA policies.
• Completes 24/7 training within one month of start date and annually thereafter.

• Organizes the chairs within the lounge area and seating area.
• Checks direct staff to , cleans and refills the condiment station as required; refills the beverage cooler and food storage areas as required.
• Maintains accurate records of discarded or diverted items, including removal of the items to the appropriate storage areas.
• keeps items stocked based on sales volume.
• Uses the WALTER clock to sign in and out for the assigned shift in a timely manner.
• Follows all Optimum Service Training techniques to ensure exceptional customer service during service.
• Acts with purpose and intention – uses effective time management skills.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints politely and promptly.
• Uses the POS system to record sales and transactions, including recording payment.
• Checks all items within the assign area for expiration weekly and removed items that are past their best before date; follows FIFO and FEFO procedures at all times.
• Completes fridge/freezer temperature checks and other HSQA logs as assigned by supervisor.
• Must direct and interact with co-workers in order to ensure compliance with company service standards, and company inventory and cash control procedures.
• Follows all uniform and jewelry policies at all times.
• Must follow all health and safety and quality assurance company policies at all times.
• Must complete 24/7 training with in one month of start date, and annually thereafter.
