Job summary

Bruker seeks a VAT Manager for its Global Business Services Center in Warsaw to lead VAT compliance across EMEA. You will define processing guidelines, train accounting and sales teams on regulations, and perform quality controls of VAT declarations.

Collaborating with external advisors, you will monitor regulatory changes and implement them across Bruker entities, while driving process improvements and ensuring SOX-related controls are aligned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or tax.
• At least 10 years of recent VAT experience including compliance, reporting, and VAT returns.
• Minimum 5 years of people management in a Manager or Team Leader role.
• Strong knowledge of VAT legislation; English required; German a plus.
• Experience with SAP/S4HANA or ERP systems; ability to collaborate with external advisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead VAT compliance operations across jurisdictions, ensuring timely delivery.
• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, and SAF-T filings.
• Monitor calendars, filings, and VAT postings; resolve reconciling items.
• Oversee VAT determination and risk-based controls; ensure accuracy.
• Support new VAT regulations, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Maintain SOPs and work instructions reflecting regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with Local Finance, Sales, Tax, and External Advisors; support audits.
