Job summary

DCG is seeking a Senior UI/UX Design & Front-End Lead to own end-to-end design and front-end delivery. You will lead requirements-to-prototype, establish design systems, and build React/TypeScript components across client portals, ensuring accessibility and responsive design.

You will mentor mid-level developers, review code, collaborate with backend teams, uphold WCAG 2.1 AA, and drive UX quality from discovery through validation while aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in software, digital product or application design and development.
• 8+ years hands-on with React.js and TypeScript.
• Strong portfolio of advanced UI/UX and product design work.
• Expert in design tools, prototyping, and design systems (Figma).
• Experience with WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design.
• Ability to translate high-fidelity designs into production-ready interfaces.

Position: Senior UI/UX Design & Front-End Lead

Senior UI/UX Design & Front-End Lead

Responsibilities:

• Lead the full requirements-to-prototype process, from stakeholder discovery and requirements clarification to wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs
• Define and maintain UI/UX standards, interaction patterns and design systems across client-facing portal applications
• Design and develop key React.js and TypeScript components, shared UI libraries and reusable front-end solutions
• Establish front-end architecture, coding standards and development best practices
• Review pull requests and provide actionable feedback on code quality, architecture, usability and design fidelity
• Collaborate with backend and API teams to ensure proposed user experiences are technically feasible and aligned with service and data constraints
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and responsive design principles
• Conduct usability testing and validation sessions and improve solutions based on user feedback, analytics and business requirements
• Mentor mid-level developers in UI/UX design thinking, React development and front-end engineering best practices
• Represent the portal area in architecture, design and technical governance discussions
• Ensure delivered solutions are scalable, maintainable, accessible and consistent across applications

Requirements:

• 14+ years of overall experience in software, digital product or application design and development
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript
• Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced UI/UX design and product design experience
• Expert knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, including component libraries and design systems
• Strong experience with React component architecture, hooks, state management and reusable UI development
• Proven ability to translate high-fidelity designs into production-ready, responsive and accessible interfaces
• Strong understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and modern responsive design practices
• Experience working with modern CI/CD environments and containerized applications using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Experience conducting code reviews and providing technical and design guidance to development teams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain and defend design and technical decisions to both business and engineering stakeholders
• Experience mentoring developers and supporting technical decision-making within a front-end team
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Working knowledge of Java or .NET environments
• Experience with Micro Frontend architectures, including technologies such as Module Federation or single-spa
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Previous experience within financial services, fund administration or transfer agency platforms
