Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior UI Artist / Technical Artist to bridge visual design and technical implementation in Unreal Engine 5.

You will transform UX wireframes into polished interfaces, build menus and HUDs, and optimize UI assets for multiple platforms. You will collaborate with UX designers and engineers to ensure seamless integration, maintain style guides, and drive real-time UI innovations across PC, console, and mobile.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UI Art or UI Technical Art.
• Proven hands-on expertise with Unreal Engine 5 (UMG, Slate, Niagara, Blueprints, Sequencer, and Material Editor).
• Experience designing shaders, textures, and performance optimization across multiple platforms.
• Portfolio showcasing UI/UX design, in-engine motion graphics, and real-time FX work.
• Fluent English communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Convert UX wireframes into polished UI designs, prototypes, and design systems using industry tools.
• Implement and animate user interfaces in Unreal Engine 5 using UMG, Slate, Material Editor, Niagara, Sequencer, and Blueprint logic.
• Build and maintain menus, HUDs, UI shaders, VFX, and transitions for PC, console, and mobile platforms.
• Establish reusable frameworks, material functions, template libraries, and animation systems to streamline workflows.
• Apply camera, lighting, and post-processing techniques to enhance spatial and diegetic UI experiences.
