Xebia Group is looking for a hands-on TypeScript engineer to join a 2-month project with potential extension. You will design backend services, APIs and system integrations, while building AI-powered orchestration workflows and integrating with external tools.

You will be:

• the project is initially planned for 2 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs and future plans,
• developing production-grade applications using TypeScript and modern software development practices,
• designing and implementing backend services, APIs and system integrations,
• building and maintaining agentic AI orchestration workflows,
• integrating AI agents with external tools, services and existing systems,
• contributing to the development of AI-powered applications and exploring new technical approaches,
• working with AWS services to build and support cloud-based solutions,
• collaborating with the team to test ideas, iterate on solutions and deliver reliable software,
• ensuring code quality, maintainability and scalability throughout the development process.

Your profile:

• strong hands-on experience with TypeScript,
• proven experience building and delivering production-grade applications,
• solid backend development skills, including API design and system integrations,
• experience applying modern software development practices,
• familiarity with AWS and cloud-based application development,
• ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and take ownership of technical solutions,
• practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
• interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
