Job summary

Experis ManpowerGroup Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw is seeking a senior Test Manager to lead a migration testing effort from mainframe assembler applications to Java/SQL under Linux.

The role is hybrid with two days per week at the Warsaw office and requires shaping the testing strategy and framework. You will coordinate testing activities, mentor a small team, and liaise with architects, developers, and project management to deliver comprehensive test plans and reports.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a Test Manager in complex projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, particularly unit and functional testing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document a detailed testing strategy tailored to the migration from mainframe assembler applications to Java/SQL under Linux.
• Identify and integrate various testing methodologies into the testing framework.
• Define and integrate testing tools, such as X-Ray.
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of testing activities, ensuring timelines and quality standards.
• Support the test execution process across planning, environment setup, execution, and reporting.
• Act as the liaison between project stakeholders including architects, developers, and project management teams.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small test team, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Assess resource needs and support hiring and training as the project scales.
• Monitor and report testing progress, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Produce comprehensive test documentation including test plans, cases, and reports.
• Provide regular updates and status reports to senior project management.

Salary: 150 - 160 PLN net/h (B2B via Experis)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and document a detailed testing strategy tailored to the complex migration from mainframe assembler applications to Java/SQL under Linux
• Identify and integrate various testing methodologies, including unit testing, functional testing, and comparison testing, into the testing framework
• Define and integrate appropriate testing tools, such as X-Ray
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of testing activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
• Support the test execution process across multiple testing phases, including planning, environment setup, execution, and reporting
• Act as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including architects, developers, and project management teams
• Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment on testing objectives and deliverables
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small test team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Assess resource needs and support the hiring and training of team members as the project scales
