Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy sp. z o.o. in Poland is seeking a Senior Technician (f/m/d) to lead service teams on wind turbine maintenance at the Ustka site. You’ll ensure safety, compliance with SGRE standards, and timely delivery of service tasks while mentoring technicians.

The role requires field experience in wind, proven coordination skills, and the ability to work shifts, with travel to sites as needed and a valid driving license.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technician, ideally in the wind industry.
• Experience managing a range of contractors and customers with proven leadership.
• Practical experience with MS Office, SAP, MORS and remote diagnostic tools.
• Ability to lead a team of service technicians.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislations and shift work requirements.
• Valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety lead when in turbines and wind farms and report incidents and near misses.
• Ensure compliance with SGRE standards and legislation relating to EHS, Quality and Service delivery.
• Produce and manage technical and safety documentation; develop risk assessments and method statements.
• Provide technical leadership for diagnosis of turbine faults and supervise critical tasks.
• Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations while delivering work packages.
• Mentor technician competency and support site team planning.

Senior Technician (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities

• Active safety leadership when in the turbine and in the Wind Farm - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions.
• You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with SGRE standards and relevant legislation in relation to EHS, Quality and Service delivery.
• Responsible for technical and safety documentation production and management. You will also drive and develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements for work packages / tasks. In addition to Developing and delivering technical and safety Tool Box Talk’s.
• Technical lead for the management / delivery of technical queries with Service Technology and field staff. You will be responsible for the remote diagnosis of turbine faults and direct technical supervision of critical tasks as required.
• Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages / tasks. Whilst ensuring compliance with site rules and regulations Responsible for technician competency development and mentoring both for customer and SGRE technicians.
• Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities, assist in the creation of daily, weekly plans for site teams as in conjunction with Service Planner / Service Coordinator.

Our requirements

• This role requires someone with experience working as a Technician, ideally within the wind industry.
• You will have experience of working with a large range of contractors and customers, with demonstrable management experience.
• You will have practical experience of working with MS Office applications and preferably SAP, MORS and remote diagnostic tools.
• You will be a competent individual who is able to work under pressure and Lead a team of service technicians.
• You will have the ability to work shifts at the project location (exact shift patterns tbc). This role also requires you to have some knowledge about health and safety legislations.
• Ideally you will have a Comprehensive understanding of and a consistent ability to demonstrate your own competency levels as a Technician, Competent Technician, Maintenance Technician and Troubleshoot Technician.
• Please note that this role also requires shift working as per business needs. Further details will be finalized for the shift pattern closer to when the site becomes operational. Due to the location of the role and the role requirements, the successful candidate must have a valid driving license.
• Please note that the wind farms will be serviced via CTV (Crew Transfer Vessel) or SOV (Service Operations Vessel).

Snapshot of Your Day

• As a Senior Technician you will be part of a permanently employed dedicated service team. You will be able to lead a team and carry out all of the duties associated with the service, maintenance and repair of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) wind turbine generators. The role will provide you with a challenging and varied role, learning opportunities and a good team culture. Your key role will be to deliver excellent service and MTBV (Meantime between visits) while ensuring compliance with SGRE internal processes and procedures, relevant Legislation, EHS and Quality.
