Spyrosoft Ltd is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead HMI or embedded software projects for international clients. You will discuss technical solutions with engineers, understand delivery constraints, and explain impact to clients. Experience with cloud-connected products would be advantageous.
The role requires managing both FP and T&M efforts, planning resources, and maintaining margins while coordinating with architects and account teams.
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead HMI or embedded software projects for international clients within our HMI & Consumer Electronics business unit.
The ideal candidate combines practical engineering experience with strong project management skills. You should be comfortable discussing technical solutions with engineers and architects, understanding delivery constraints and explaining their impact to clients. Experience with cloud-connected products would be an additional advantage.
A strong technical background supported by practical experience in software development, testing or systems engineering
Experience delivering HMI or embedded software projects, with a solid understanding of architecture, integration, testing and technical dependencies
At least 6 years of experience in IT project management, including 3 years in software services for international clients
Experience managing both Fixed Price and Time & Material projects, with responsibility for budgets and project margins
A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and the ability to translate technical constraints into realistic plans and estimates
Confidence in managing client expectations and leading difficult conversations about scope, costs and delays
English skills at B2 level or higher
Experience with cloud-connected products, IoT backends or AWS/Azure services
Familiarity with C/C++, embedded Linux, Yocto, RTOS or Qt/QML
Experience delivering software for consumer devices or automotive applications
Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
Experience with Build-Operate-Transfer engagements or dedicated client teams
Familiarity with ASPICE or ISO 26262
German language skills
PMP, PRINCE2 or SAFe certification
Run 1-3 projects end-to-end, with teams of 5-25 people, taking ownership of scope, schedule, quality, budget and margin across Time & Material and Fixed Price engagements
Work with architects and engineering teams to assess technical assumptions, dependencies and integration challenges, reflecting them in delivery plans
Plan resources and team capacity, and manage scope changes through a clear change request process
Act as the client's main operational contact, leading status meetings, coordinating demos and resolving delivery concerns
Proactively manage risks and issues, escalating them early with a clear assessment of their impact and proposed next steps
Monitor project margin and team utilisation, and maintain monthly revenue forecasts
Support proposals with effort estimates, delivery approaches and staffing plans, together with architects and technical leads
Identify opportunities to expand the engagement and discuss them with the Account Manager and Business Unit Director
Build and develop project teams in cooperation with Line Management and HR
