Job summary

Talentuno in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to manage VAT, Intrastat and ESL reporting for EU countries and ensure timely alignment with the global balance sheet.

You will run VAT files, verify transactions, and collaborate with a multinational team. Fluent English and strong Excel skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Prepare VAT, Intrastat and ESL returns accurately and timely
• Reconcile VAT output to VAT GLs / ledgers
• Transfer balances from VAT transitory accounts to receivable/payable
• Prepare VAT payment requests and send for approval
• Respond to questions from local Tax Office
• Contribute to SSC operations and process improvements

Job description

Senior Tax Accountant

Preparation of VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List returns in a compliant and timely manner and reconciliation of returns to the business unit balance sheet - for European countries
Prepare Intrastat reports and ESL reports (includes extraction of reports, compilation of the reports) for above countries
Run reports, verify completeness & accuracy of VAT transactions included in the VAT file
Reconcile VAT return output to VAT GL's
Transfer balances from VAT transitory accounts to VAT receivable / payable
Prepare VAT payment request and send for approval - if payable
Perform VAT clearing
Response for questions from local Tax Office
Contribute to a team environment where continuous improvement is a way of life. Contribute to the smooth running of the SSC by performing other tasks as required.

Finance/VAT experience
Strong ability to analyse information and produce accurate information in a timely manner
Advanced Excel Skills - Pivot Tables, VLookups
Understand the operations of a large multinational corporation
Ability to meet deadlines
Strong IT skills
Fluency in English
