Polcode is a Poland-based software house seeking a strong Mid/Senior Symfony Developer to maintain and modernize an established Symfony application. You will work with legacy code and participate in upgrades, collaborating directly with the client’s development team to deliver pragmatic improvements.

Qualifications

• Mid/Senior-level commercial experience with PHP and Symfony.
• Hands-on experience with older Symfony versions.
• Experience upgrading or migrating Symfony applications to newer versions.
• Confidence working with mature and legacy codebases.
• Fluent English (C1/C2) and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an established Symfony application.
• Work with legacy code and older Symfony versions.
• Contribute to Symfony upgrades and gradual stack modernization.
• Analyze existing solutions and introduce pragmatic improvements.
• Collaborate directly with the client’s development team.
• Participate in daily meetings, planning sessions, and Agile activities.
• Work within an environment using GitLab and CI/CD.
