Job summary

HomeToGo is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Cracow to join one of our Consumer Product teams. You will work on a modern stack including Symfony, MariaDB, ElasticSearch, Snowflake, Redis, Aerospike, RabbitMQ, Docker and Kubernetes, impacting a product with millions of listed properties.

You will collaborate with product to shape the roadmap, work across cross-functional teams, and own significant engineering decisions to ensure scalable and reliable marketplace features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, preferably with PHP/Symfony.
• Fluent in English and able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MariaDB or PostgreSQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of technical initiatives to improve the quality of our product.
• Partner with Product to impact the roadmap and ensure engineering decisions align with user needs.
• Collaborate closely within a cross-functional team and with other engineering teams to deliver features on time.
• Work with architects to address challenges, ensuring scalability, reliability, and usability of Marketplace products.
• Take ownership of engineering decisions for larger topics and features.
• Contribute to improving the product delivery process.
