Job summary

Altium Limited, part of the Renesas Group, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, availability and performance of our cloud platforms. You will automate tasks, improve observability, and collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable applications.

In this role you will lead observability improvements, implement reliability patterns across regions, and drive IaC and deployment automation to boost resilience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE, DevOps or related role in a large-scale environment.
• Software development experience, ideally with .NET.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, microservice and HA architecture.
• Observability tools: NewRelic, ELK, Grafana, PagerDuty, OTEL.
• Experience with Kubernetes in production, AWS, IoC/CI.
• Knowledge of CI-CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, ArgoCD.
• Knowledge of IaC: Terraform, Ansible.
• Basic networking fundamentals.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres).

Responsibilities

• Understand how an Altium Cloud Platform works and ensure reliability.
• Improve observability: logging, monitoring, and APM for proactive issue detection.
• Develop reliability frameworks and patterns across regions and environments.
• Promote a shared responsibility model with engineering teams.
• Contribute to incident response, rapid resolution, and post-incident analysis.
• Participate in system design, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with engineers to boost stability and manageability.
• Drive automation, IaC, and streamlined deployments for efficiency.
• Champion SOO principles for accountable service ownership.
