Job summary

Altium is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of its cloud platforms. You will blend software engineering and operations to automate tasks and improve resilience.

You will work with engineering teams across regions, champion IaC, enhance observability with NewRelic, ELK, Grafana, and contribute to incident response with post-incident reviews.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE/DevOps in large-scale environment.
• Software development experience, ideally working with .NET.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, microservice and HA architecture.
• Observability experience with logging, monitoring and APM.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, AWS and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Understand how an Altium Cloud Platform works.
• Pioneer improvements in observability, including logging, monitoring, and APM.
• Develop reliability frameworks and patterns for SaaS across regions.
• Foster a shared responsibility model with engineering teams on reliability.
• Contribute to incident response, ensuring rapid resolution and post-incident analysis.
• Participate in system design, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with DevOps to enhance automation and IaC using best practices.
• Promote SOO principles to clarify service ownership.
