Job summary

Amelco UK Ltd is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, observability, and cost efficiency of its high-throughput betting platform. The role blends infrastructure automation (60%) with application-focused reliability (40%), working with Java Spring Boot services and Kubernetes patterns.

You will collaborate with development teams to define SLOs/SLIs, enhance metrics/logging/tracing, and design automated remediation and pre-deployment checks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE/Platform Engineering/DevOps with hands-on production experience.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise (AWS EKS, Flux, Helm).
• Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki observability stack.
• IaC with Terraform and GitOps workflows.
• Python and Bash scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage SLOs/SLIs for betting platform services.
• Enhance observability for Java Spring Boot services with actionable metrics/logs/tracing.
• Design automated remediation patterns and pre-deployment readiness checks.
• Own Kubernetes cluster reliability and automate operational processes.
