Job summary

OneRail USA is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure availability, performance, and resilience of our SaaS platform. You will design and optimize platform architecture, drive automation, and enable teams to run scalable services.

The role requires deep cloud-native expertise, distributed systems, and strong observability skills. You will mentor teams, implement monitoring, and shape reliability practices across the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering or a related role.
Strong experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience implementing observability solutions, including metrics, logging, tracing, and application performance monitoring.
Experience designing scalable backend architecture using Node.js, TypeScript, .NET.
Strong knowledge of database administration, performance tuning, and optimization (Azure Cosmos DB, MySQL).
Experience building automation frameworks, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

Serve as the platform SME, mentoring teams on reliability, scalability, security, and best practices.
Design, implement, and maintain observability across logs, metrics, traces, and alerting.
Benchmark, analyze, and optimize performance of apps, cloud services, databases, and distributed systems.
Build and maintain testing frameworks for performance, load, chaos, and resilience.
Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and drive improvements via post‑mortems.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to deliver reliable platform solutions.
Establish monitoring, alerting, and reliability standards across the platform.
Create runbooks, docs, diagrams, and operational procedures.
