Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Specialist, SOX Control & Compliance in Wroclaw, Poland. The role focuses on executing SOX/ICFR testing, maintaining control documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to sustain strong financial controls.

A background in accounting, finance, or risk management is preferred, with progressive professional qualification as an advantage. The candidate will support process narratives, control matrices, and evidence management, ensuring timely and accurate reviews

Qualifications

Experience in SOX testing, internal audit, or finance controls within banking or financial services is preferred.
Ability to document processes clearly, analyse evidence, and perform testing with attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Execute SOX and ICFR testing activities with adherence to approved methodologies, timelines, and quality standards.
Refresh process narratives, risk/control matrices, flowcharts, and related documentation for assigned processes.
Participate in walkthroughs with business owners to identify key control points and document changes.
Test design and operating effectiveness of controls by reviewing evidence and documenting results.
Track evidence requests and maintain organized records for audit readiness and timely reviews.
Identify exceptions or gaps and raise issues for assessment.
Support remediation tracking and closure verification where required.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support project delivery.
Contribute to process improvements and standardization of testing/documentation workflows.
